An ABBA Themed Wedding

With the film, Mama Mia being all the rage, requests for ABBA themed weddings are becoming more and more popular. Whether you are a 70s fan or have acquired a new taste for ABBA songs and stage concerts, perhaps this themed wedding is for you.

    The wedding specifics may include:
  • 70’s inspired announcements and invitations
  • Decorations in the style of the era. Just a few touches work well. You don't want to overwhelm your guests with everything 70s. Items such as, silly putty guest gifts and rubik’s cubes on the tables are always fun.
  • Of course, ABBA music. You might consider exclusively playing ABBA music or a mix of 70s. Also, a disco ball is a must.
  • The "I Do, I Do" song for the entrance of the bride might be whimsy enough to give your guests an idea of what to expect at the reception.
  • Contact a character company to ask about ABBA look alike shows. Delight your guests with a special showing of ABBA.
  • Ask your guests to "dress up" in 70s clothes. Though all guests won't do this, it’s always interesting to see the costumes and how your guests play the part.
